Fred and Alesia Ring own a small family farm just outside Abita Springs, Louisiana. The couple wants to better organize their financial records for their accountant. They created an Excel workbook to record the various expenses associated with farming. Typical expenses include those associated with hay production, animal husbandry, fence maintenance, veterinary service; self administrated medicines, vehicles and maintenance, and so forth. The workbook includes categories associated with these expenses as well as an area to record how much is spent, the purpose of the expenditure, the check number, and the date paid.
